Registry Update: The Registry is now at the software developer, and as soon as it is developed, we will begin the task of putting it together .The Registry plan is all mapped out, but will have to undergo the transformation to an On Line Registry.

Registry

We are putting together a state of the art registry that will allow you to register your dogs from the web. The registry will be a height registry with health requirements. There will  be levels of registration for litters, dogs under 2 years of age, and those mature dogs 2 years and older that are up to 14 inches but not over, and dogs that are to be neutered and spayed or have been.

Now is the time be getting your Hip OFA's and Eye CERF sent in. The web site has links to these organizations if you are not familiar with them. All litters will be required to submit eye cerf exam copies with all living pups . All dogs two yrs and older submitting applications will be required to provide proof of OFA fair or better and clear eye CERF. The registry's goal is to identify those dogs that are from 10  up to 14 inches that are of sound genetic make up.

The Eye and Hip certifications are essential to the formation of a strong historic foundation from which we will breed future generations of healthy Toy Australian Shepherds . These health issues are factors that have been passed down from the  Standard and Miniature Australian Shepherds, even as pets, it is the responsibility and goal of each TASAA  breeder, big or small, to produce a sound, healthy, Toy Australian Shepherd. The only way to be sure is to test each breeding age dog and to check each litter before it is placed.

There are many more details that will be revealed along the way. I will keep you posted as the project moves forward.
